6-Inch or 7-Inch Gutters? The Right Size Depends on Your Home

Some homes benefit from the additional capacity of a 7-inch system, including many tile-roof applications and properties with roof designs that concentrate larger amounts of runoff. Our 7-inch gutter systems are made with .032 aluminum. Roof valleys also deserve special attention. During heavy Florida rain, a valley can direct a large volume of water into a small section of gutter. We evaluate these areas during installation and can use valley shields where appropriate to help control concentrated runoff. Larger 4x5 downspouts may be used when appropriate, and 4-inch round downspouts are available by request.
